As an upstate photographer in Albany NY, I can handle for you the types of photography services that publications and businesses need. If you need a photographer who does work that doesn’t center on the types of things the general public wants, like social or family events, well then you’ve found your photographer.
My work centers on providing upstate headshots on location in quantity, corporate photography, editorial photography and commercial photography in upstate NY. In other words, my work is geared towards doing the types of photography that businesses, industries, agencies and publications such as trade magazines and business magazines often need.
The areas I serve include Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Latham, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, Lake George. My territory also octants to Utica, Syracuse, Lake Placid,Bimghamton, Pittsfield MA and Manchester VT. Most off the regions mentioned are within my immediate home territory. Or the region where you have a job you need photographed can be reached by an easy drive from my central location in the Capital District of New York state. That is a pretty wide radius that is within a couple hour drive in the car. That includes much of New York State, lots of western New England and parts of Pennsylvania.
A typical assignment that I handle for small to large businesses is the corporate or business headshot. Many companies have hired me to take photos of their staff or management teams. These jobs can range from photographing 7 or 8 people right up to spending several days photographing over a hundred people in a company.
In this case the members of a board of directors were all in town for one of their regular meetings. The organization spans a large geographic area of the north east. The directors come to a central location a couple times a year for their meeting. The client hired me for some meeting photography as well as some coverage of the operations in their main offices. Part of that job’s requirement was to make new and consistent headshots of the board members. The wrinkle in this job was that the board members were very busy during their meeting day
And this headshot job had to make sure that 35 or more people were photographed during a lunch break during the meeting day.
My experience spans a couple of decades as a former full time news photojournalist. Many years as a corporate and editorial photographer in the Albany NY area.
