New York City Charter School Center Albany Advocacy Day from an upstate New York editorial photographer
This is a selection of images that I took as an upstate New York editorial photographer at the annual New York City Charter School Center’s Advocacy Day at the Empire State Convention Center in Albany, NY.
The event involves speakers, performances, interviews with media and rallies followed by students and parents heading into the state Capitol and Legislative Office Building to talk with state officials and legislators from their districts about the issues they and their schools face.
Working as a photographer at the New York State capitol in Albany, I often cover rallies, meetings, public relations events and many other different sorts of events at the seat of state government.
